Reason to stop obsessing over Heaven.

I read this article about obsessing over Heaven.  What an interesting way to point things out.  I will copy the link to the article so you can read as well.  But I must share this is my favorite part of the whole article.

As my professor said, heaven isn’t our final destination—it’s the first stop on the way to a renewed heaven and earth. And Mike Wittmer agrees, “As great as it is to be a disembodied soul in heaven with Jesus, there’s something even better: enjoying Jesus as a whole person on earth, where resurrected bodies are meant to live. So praise God that those who die in Christ go to heaven. And praise God even more that they’re on the first leg of a round-trip journey.”

The parts I underlined and put in bold are my favorite.  This is so true and I for one cannot wait until I can walk with Jesus.  Some people get so caught up in the moment that they forget the little things.  If I make this place enjoyable to live right now, I can only imagine how wonderful it will be at that final stop of the journey.

When Little Ones Pray - The Power of the Meek

Prayer Defeats Death

After a little while, the center staff brought the children to the next village over to pray for the sick boy. Praying fervently, these children returned day after day and witnessed Jesus' healing touch on this dying boy. His brain tumor was gone!
This part of the the link above is so awesome to hear.  Now when you click on the link and if you watch the video just know I am not posting this for people to think they have to adopt a child.   If you feel like God is on your heart to to do so then you can follow that.  I just love the thought that when a child prays and they see that prayer answered completetly makes my heart smile.

Open the book

Today I brought my bible with me to work.  Now mind you I have two bible's on my desk already, but I put my everyday bible in my bag.  While I have been sitting here in a bit of silence while my work phone is quiet.  I took it out and opened it.  Man do I have lots of notes written on papers.  I found three pieces of papers shoved in a random place from the book of Joshua 24:2-24 and Joshua 25-28 man do I wish there was more notes with this to remind me why I was studying Joshua. But the message is so very clear, DO NOT WORSHIP FALSE GODS.  Too many of us put things in front of God everyday, whether it be social media, t.v., gossip, etc.  I need to train myself to talk to God first thing every morning and start having car conversations with him again about my prayers.  I have gotten off the path he set me on I need to do a Michigan left hand turn and get back on the right path.

Been awhile

I know it has been awhile so here is an update on what I am been up too lately.  First I have been folding into the winter blues with not being inspired not doing much around the house.  But the past few weeks I have been leading our weekly Life Group and I have been having so much fun in doing so.  I have been trying to be creative and make the weeks different.  The first week I challenged our group to come up with something we as a group can do.  We have a few things we are working on doing.  I am excited to see where this goes.  Last week was probably my least favorite of the weeks.  I am stuck on how he put the whole concept of breath into God breathing into us as our first kiss.  That part didn't sit well with me.  So last week we watched the video and then discussed the information and then proceeded to talk about our challenege and what we have come up with.  This week I am looking forward to he talks about playing the game chess so I am putting my own twist on that concept.  I am not giving away my total idea since a few people that attend other groups read this.  I have to work on my one on one time with God, I have been slacking lately.  I have a friend whom I hope is getting baptized soon.  I am glad she is finding a place that she fits into.  I am hoping with the inspiration of the upcoming topic in church it will get me motivated.
