Is it OK to be angry with God?

This morning while listening to a video.  The question came up is it ok to be angry with God?  One would think instantly NO way no how.  But the truth is the Bible does not prohibit us being angry with him.  Actually if you think about it having a conversation with him getting your anger out can make your relationship with God that much stronger.   Well Psalm 77 paints a bit of a different picture(see below).  So the next time you have doubts or anger against God think of the great things he has already done for you instead of focusing on the negative.

Psalm 77[a]

For the director of music. For Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A psalm.

I cried out to God for help;
    I cried out to God to hear me.
When I was in distress, I sought the Lord;
    at night I stretched out untiring hands,
    and I would not be comforted.
I remembered you, God, and I groaned;
    I meditated, and my spirit grew faint.[b]
You kept my eyes from closing;
    I was too troubled to speak.
I thought about the former days,
    the years of long ago;
I remembered my songs in the night.
    My heart meditated and my spirit asked:
“Will the Lord reject forever?
    Will he never show his favor again?
Has his unfailing love vanished forever?
    Has his promise failed for all time?
Has God forgotten to be merciful?
    Has he in anger withheld his compassion?
10 Then I thought, “To this I will appeal:
    the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.
11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
    yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
12 I will consider all your works
    and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”
13 Your ways, God, are holy.
    What god is as great as our God?
14 You are the God who performs miracles;
    you display your power among the peoples.
15 With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,
    the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.
16 The waters saw you, God,
    the waters saw you and writhed;
    the very depths were convulsed.
17 The clouds poured down water,
    the heavens resounded with thunder;
    your arrows flashed back and forth.
18 Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind,
    your lightning lit up the world;
    the earth trembled and quaked.
19 Your path led through the sea,
    your way through the mighty waters,
    though your footprints were not seen.
20 You led your people like a flock
    by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Styles of evangelism

As I get myself ready for tomorrow night.  I always thought well your either a confident evangelist or not.  I never imagined how many different styles there are.  I would think right away I was more of the testimonial style. But going into what each one is I could pick something out from each one.  Now to build my confidence up so I can actually step outside of my comfort zone and tell those in need about God.  With this whole course I am hoping this happens for many of us.  Even confident people pull back so you don’t know their weakness. But I will know when I get there in the situation The Holy Spirit will be with me.

Have a day with many blessing

Sunday day of rest

Well Sunday is here and it is almost 6am and I am wide awake.  Why oh why can’t i sleep in?  Need to get my day started. Instead of having the tv on. I need to turn on school lectures as I am in two classes right now.  So today’s agenda shower, school lectures while I clean, church, start my crock pot meal for my lunch next week, then football Sunday.  I look forward to what church has in store for me today.  I do love my church family, every time I have doubts they prove to me why I love it so much. Here is to a wonderful week ahead.

Blessings to all
